It is really quite simple to use and only takes about 5 minutes.

  1. Go to BlueHost.com and log in. Once you successfully log in you are directed to the BlueHost control panel.Install WordPress On BlueHost.com Step 01
  2. From the control panel, scroll down to the Software/Services section and click on WordPress.

  3. In the left column, click on WordPress under the Blogs section.

  4. Click the green Install button.

  5. On the install screen:

    1. The default version is the latest stable version. Leave this as it is.
    2. You will most likely on have one location to install WordPress. Leave this as your domain name.
    3. In Step 2, click the link “click here to display”.
    4. Change the text “My Blog” to the name of your website or business.
    5. You can update the username and password.
    6. Leave the check on Automatically create a new database.
    7. Step 3, check the terms and conditions.
    8. Click the Complete button.
  6. You will see the progress bar as WordPress is installed on your website.

  7. Once the installation is complete (this will only take a minute, literally) you will see a process complete message.

You can now go to your domain and you will see your new WordPress website.

BlueHost

BlueHost offers a superb web hosting service and was voted best support from 2004-2008. With BlueHost you get a great number of options and services at a very affordable price from a company with an  excellent reputation in the industry. BlueHost is one of the hosting providers we use at my “day job” so I can personally recommend them.

HostGator

I have never personally used HostGator however they come to me highly recommended by my colleagues. HostGator provides quality hosting for a reasonable price and their agents are really helpful. HostGator provides Shared, Reseller and Dedicated web hosting solutions. Their services are designed for both beginners and professionals.

GoDaddy.com is very reasonably priced and I have always gotten great customer service from them. With the use of the GoDaddy.com hosting control panel, installation of WordPress is a very quick and easy process.

  1. Go to http://www.godaddy.com and log in.
  2. In the left column under “My Products” click on the “Hosting” link.
  3. You will see your hosting account(s) in the center column of the page. Under “Control Panel” click “Manage Account”.

  4. You will then be taken to your Hosting Control Center. Click on “Your Applications”.

  5. In the left column, click “Blogs”.
  6. In the same column under “Blogs” click “WordPress”.

  7. Click the “Install Now” button.

  8. If you have multiple domain names you will need to select the domain name that you would like to install WordPress on. Then click the “Continue” button.

  9. WordPress information is stored in a database. You will now set the information for the database. Enter a database description and a database password. Then click the “Next” button.

  10. Now you can set the directory where you want to install WordPress. In this case we want to leave the folder name blank so that WordPress will be installed in your root directory. Then click the “Next” button.

  11. Next you will need to set the WordPress admin information. The admin name and password is what you will use to log into the website once it is set up. Then click the “Finish” button.

  12. You should now see the message that WordPress installation has been submitted. You can log out of your GoDaddy.com account.

  13. When your WordPress installation has been completed you will receive an email at the admin email you set in step #11.

You can now go to your domain and you will see your new WordPress website.
